The
following is an explanation of who we are, what we do and what we want to
accomplish.
We are an association of acoustical
contractors, Union and Non-Union, located in the

interested in business and personal growth, to exchange information and
ideas. I hope that all of you decide to participate and assist in the
improvement of the acoustical environment in the area.
The purpose of this Web site is to share
information (make it readily accessible) be unified in our
interpretation of codes, standardize seismic codes and drawings, (by hiring
an engineer to draw up compression post calculations, and also calc out
the length that the posts become a detriment and should no longer be required).

would insist on better contracts, - contracts that do not have so much risk
exposure for us - the generals would have no choice but to change the language

qualify for special rates for services that we all need from time to
time.
Let us all use this information to the
benefit of our industry. If we do this, it can only help each and every
one of us. None of us are lone rangers; we must all work together in the
spirit of healthy competition. Let us all bid in a realistic and
profitable way.

Swiridoff Construction
Dear contractor;
During the past three months
several of us have searched for a method to accomplish the goal of forming a
contractors’ organization to discuss issues that are
pertinent to our industry, such as AGC contracts, insurance requirements, etc. Also just to be able to meet in a social
setting and discuss various topics among us would be beneficial to our industry
and therefore to all of us.
We have started the association,
SAACA that stands for Sacramento Area Acoustical Contractors Association. Of our current members some are union and
some are non-union. We also have a web
site, which is very helpful. It is a way
to share ideas and business practices and also a way to have standardization
for submittals and drawings.
The access to the web site is
password protected. It is meant only for
the use of members.
We encourage all contractors
active in this trade to join this association. We offer a forum for those
who are interested in business and personal growth, to exchange information and
ideas.
Also as a recognized group, we
can qualify for special rates for services that we all need from time to
time.
Let us all use this information
to the benefit of our industry. If we do this, it can only help each and
every one of us.
I invite all acoustical
suppliers and manufacturers to join and be part of this. They cannot have a voting membership, but
their input is invaluable to us, they benefit by being able to speak to all of
us at the bi-monthly meetings, which will be held either at 1721 Second street,
Suite 201, or at the Builders Exchange Conference room upstairs at 1331 “T”
street, on the last Thursday of the month at 12:00 Noon. The Location is posted on the SAACA Web Site.

non-profit organization and also with the State of
